How to write a conference Call for Speakers with Claude
A good Call for Speakers (or Call for Papers) attracts the right submissions and makes them easy to review. The Program & Content Chair skill drafts the CFP from your theme and audience, writes the submission form questions, and scores what comes in against a consistent rubric.
What you'll need
- Your event theme and target audience
- Format: in-person, hybrid or virtual
- The session formats you offer (keynote, panel, workshop, fireside, lightning talk)
Step by step
- Load the Program Chair skill. Paste the conference-program-chair SKILL.md into a Claude.ai Project, or install all eight skills for Claude Code. Install steps →
- Brief the theme, audience and format. The skill starts by asking for the event theme, audience profile and format (in-person / hybrid / virtual).
- Draft the CFP. Ask for a Call for Papers or Call for Speakers document written from your theme and audience description.
- Generate the submission form. Ask for submission form questions that surface topic relevance, speaker credentials, session format preference and audience takeaways.
- Agree the scoring criteria. Submissions are scored against relevance to theme, speaker credibility, audience value and format fit. When submissions arrive, Claude scores each one and produces a ranked shortlist with notes.
- Optional: track submissions. With ClickUp or Asana connected, the skill creates a task per submission (Submitted → Under Review → Accepted / Declined). The live tracker is saved to 05-speakers/cfp-tracker.md.

Good to know
- The skill is told to produce content that can go directly to a speaker or be published — not drafts that need heavy editing.
